I'm Chelsea 👋

I'm a digital video producer, editor and animator from Stafford, Virginia. I studied Theatre & Film and International Studies at Virginia Tech and started my career working for a number of film festivals, including Sundance Film Festival and Chicago International Film Festival. After moving to New York City in 2014, I began working in digital video production at Penguin Random House, where I discovered my love for animation and stop motion.
From 2017 to 2024, I worked for The WNET Group, New York’s PBS station, producing original video series including ¡Hay Dinero!, a series on financial literacy for Latinas and children of immigrants, the GLAAD-nominated documentary series Caretakers, and the Webby-winning explainer show Take on Fake. When I first joined the organization, I worked on the Social team, creating original videos for national PBS shows, including Nature, American Masters, and Great Performances, with a number of those videos reaching over 1M+ views.
In 2020, my stop-motion short film, Chapped, premiered at the DC Independent Film Festival in March 2020 and won the award for Best Animated Short. It played at a number of other (virtual) film festivals in 2020, including the Montreal International Animation Festival, the Florida Animation Festival, and the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival. I recently released the film online and the gifs I created from it have racked up over ✨65 million views 👀 on GIPHY!
I recently finished a festival run of Dummy, a horror short I edited, that premiered at TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on opening night of Hollyshorts Film Festival in 2023.
Currently, I'm seeking freelance opportunities as a producer, editor, and/or animator.
In my free time, I love to work on puzzles, read books, play video games, and cuddle with my two cats—Deli and Bodega. When given the opportunity, my favorite thing to do is dance at weddings.
